
Yachting remains a popular activity for residents and visitors of Turkey. Over the past 30 years the yachting industry has grown and today a large number of marinas dot the long coastline between
Istanbul and
Antalya. There are 20 marinas currently (as of 2008) operational in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as listed below. Many of these marinas were initially constructed by public investment and later purchased and developed by the private sector. The dry dock areas are not included in the capacity counts.
